Boycott Southern Comfort

We would ask of you, our visitors, please join us in our boycott of Southern Comfort at your next visit to your local bar. The boycott will continue until the company issues an official public apology on their homepage for not removing their now tasteless ad campaign.

An open letter to Southern Comfort:

Subject: Please pull your ad campaign...

To Whom It May Concern:

A plead for humanity.

Please pull your ad campaign featuring New Orleans and the tagline
"Where anything can happen". Given recent events in the region
devastated by Hurricane Katrina, this is in poor taste and should be
removed from the web immediately. I have attached a screenshot taken
this morning from a website where I found this ad.

What has your company decided to do to help the poor and homeless
population of New Orleans? It seems that you should step up to the
plate since you have made the decision to use this city in your ad
campaign with little regard for the pain and suffering in the region.
I was shocked and saddened to find no information on your website
about donating or helping the victims of this humanitarian disaster.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Doug S.
