go somewhere else
I came in for the wing special and ordered three dollars worth. The bartender told me I had to get a beer so I ordered the IPA that he recommended. I was surprised that my bill was $10 (apparently my beer cost $7) You can get better prices at an airport or baseball game. Luckily I had $11 on me so I was able to pay and leave a small tip. The bartender never asked me if I needed anything and flagging him down was like pulling teeth, never mind that the other two simply ignored me. Still I was polite and friendly, I was even more surprised that they would not give me a box to take home my five remaining wings. I couldn't believe it, I will never go back

The Last of the Indie Bars
The bar doesn't look like much when you first walk in. A tiny, awkward entrance, a long row of booths next to an equally long bar. At a first glance, it looks like it'd be your typical college-crowd, frat boy/ sorority girl bar. But it's not. The jukeboxes (which you can download songs onto) play quite a variety of music, and RARELY play the top 40 hits which you know the lyrics to, despite your best attempts to drink them out of your mind.
As you continue past the first main room, you turn left and enter an even larger bar area, similarly decorated to the tune of funky animal heads like a hunting lodge. you can go straight and go down a flight of stairs that will lead you to the Devil's basement (a red colored, sinister, loungy bar area with couches along the walls) OR you can head upstairs to a balcony area that overlooks the main bar. as you progress through the next doorway, you will see the pool table room, complete with bar and balcony that overlooks the entrance and bar. Keep going, and you'll find the outside deck with tons more seating. so you have
Entrance bar,
Secondary main bar,
upstairs balcony seating,
pool table room with bar,
outside deck seating,
and basement lounge area.
The staff is friendly and has no dress code. they remind me of struggling rock stars or artists. The bar is rarely too crowded, as per the HUGE size and tons of rooms. The food is good, somewhat standard bar-fare.
and the atmosphere is unbeatable. Truly a unpretentious, down to earth, dive.
oh, and did i mention that they have over 20 different beers on tap?

pricey but good hangout
wide selection of good beers and liquor, but in the $4/5 range. interesting people of all kinds, city slick urban type with some money, low fight potential, should not be bored if sitting at the bar ;) chicks potential is 7/10...tables are good place to hangout if with a group of friends. pool upstairs is very nice...good bar view and since only 2 tables not crowded. weekends are crowded with somewhat yuppy element, weekdays are best. good place for 2-4 beers but not a bender.
